After a pitiful 33-49 season, Colangelo replaced two starters, the first five guys off the bench, and 2 of the last 5 at the end of it. Two make things more interesting, we have a “rookie” head-coach who has to integrate all these parts while trying to get this team into the playoffs, and possibly… Read more »
Don’t call me Joey 2.0 Pardon the lame title, but I couldn’t help myself. Reading through Blake’s latest and greatest, he hit the nail on the head: we don’t need DeRozan to be a superstar this coming season. Don’t get me wrong, that would be nice if he came through like VC did in his… Read more »
The “I told you so” edition Adams – possessed the characteristics you look for as a general manager of an NBA franchise: a fire hydrant with a headband. Hassan brought as much value to our team as would rap lessons from 50 Cent given to Jake Voskuhl. Banks – at least Hassan isn’t costing us… Read more »
Grab the Opening-Tip where you will learn the sad-sad thing both the Raptors and Nets have in common. Trailing the season series 2-1, the Raptors head into Garden State hoping to tie things up and regain some pride that VC & Co. stole when they did this: I hate the Nets, dating back to Babcock… Read more »
First off, a big shout out to all the members of the Raptors Republic. Its great to be on board and I look forward to giving a voice to angry Raptors’ fans everywhere- each and every week! For starters, I’d like to revisit a couple of ideas that I have been writing about for the… Read more »
This game is being shown on TSN2, the channel that when it does come on Rogers, I will never watch except for the Raptors game and even then, I’ll PVR the game so I don’t get to watch the commercials and make the shits who advertise on there suffer. We’ll try to have the game… Read more »
An interesting comment, and some proceeding ones, about winning and profitability sparked my interest. This has been something I always have thought about. Fortunately, Forbes listed their NBA team valuation list, which included profitability. Some really interesting things came up, reaffirming what many Raptor Fans have known/suspected for years: WINNING DOES NOT EQUAL PROFITABILITY!
It’s time to step up and be men. It’s time to show some pride. It’s time for heart and character to shine through. Dramatic I know, but the chips are down, and these are the moments that separate the men from the boys. When everyone is healthy and the shots are falling, it is easy… Read more »
Return of The King Raptors 127, Nets 129 (OT) OK, let me try to get through this as best as I can because I honestly feel sick. As I sat there at Philthy McNasty’s watching the fourth quarter of this game I couldn’t help but think, damn, Devin Harris is good. He can do anything… Read more »
New Jersey Nets 91, Toronto Raptors 109 What I don’t like about a win like this is that gives fans a false sense of how good this team is, once you look at this game in the context of the Clippers and Spurs game, you get the true feel of things. So let’s enjoy this… Read more »
I didn't know I had Tourette's syndrome until last night. My wife is very concerned. We have a top 5 center that is treated like the big oaf in the catholic league , that is a little touched and he smells a little. What gets me is our guards and wings don't feel it on the court , shit it ain't the coach , looks like the coach lets them jack up anything they want . Maybe it's a cultural thing , you know , the big oaf ain't cool , can't dance right , doesn't listen to the right beat. But why go there , people will just hate on me and call me the big oaf lover. The big oaf went toe to toe with the best in the league and in my opinion was the better player. To bad nobody on his team could see it .
