Doug Smith just reported that the Raptors have placed Pops Mensah-Bonsu on waivers. They apparently will try to sign him back to a 10-day contract if he clears waivers, but that doesn’t look like it will happen.
You have to figure with Evans coming back at some point, and the need for another point guard, or a real backup shooting guard or some sort of trade where we take back one more player, that this was inevitable. I like this as it gives Amir Johnson those minutes that he should have been getting anyways. Thanks for the effort dude, hope it works out for ya.
