We had until January 1st to release him before the second and third years got guaranteed. Obviously, that wasn’t going to happen and Ujiri nipped this in the bud well before training camp. As said many a time on this site, this was the easiest $1.4M every earned in the NBA. He never even showed up in Toronto.
This leaves the Raptors roster at 14 players.
