As expected, the Raptors have waived Luke Ridnour 🙁

This was the most predictable event in the NBA and it finally happened. His $2.75M salary would have become guaranteed on July 11, and the Raptors have waived him in order to make signings such as Luis Scola. Ridnour was acquired in a deal with the OKC Thunder for basically cash and presumably the Raptors tried to flip for something of value and weren’t able to find a match. The Raptors currently have 13 players on the roster, and about $2M left to spend in the free-agent marker. For more cap details, check out Blake’s excellent post from this morning.
