Bruno Caboclo and Lucas Nogueira are going to get at least another day of building snowmen.
At least, that’s what I presume the pair has been up to while snowed-in in New York. Those two, along with Norman Powell and the rest of Raptors 905, have been stuck in Westchester since Friday’s game against the Knicks. Their Sunday game against the Grand Rapids Drive was postponed until Monday and has now been postponed entirely, as the storm that’s hit the northeast continues to make travel difficult.
There is no make-up date scheduled as of yet, but it seems likely the D-League will opt to make the 905’s March 30 game in Grand Rapids a back-to-back scenario.
UPDATE: The game has been rescheduled for March 28 in Grand Rapids.
The loss of the game isn’t all that big a deal, though it may threaten to kill the momentum of the team’s first ever four-game winning streak. It could also complicate things for the parent club Toronto Raptors, who play in Toronto on Tuesday and may have wanted their charges recalled.
@Raptors when you find out Norman Powell is coming back from the D league lol
