  • 1Q 10:33: Miss, open pull-up in transition, that’s his shot which he’s been hitting all year. No issues with it, really, especially this early in the game.
  • 1Q 8:28: Miss, long-two, not a good shot coming off a curl, could’ve driven, but still not a terrible shot considering he’s open behind the screen.
  • 1Q 4:40: Miss, way too deep, especially for a guy who hasn’t made a shot yet. This was also a fresh shotclock.
  • 1Q 3:36: Make, another three off of a screen, drills up. Similar distance to his first shot, and this one’s in full rhythm.
  • 1Q 1:20: Miss, no idea why he didn’t just take turnover one-on-one, and settled for a deep three. Was an opportunity to pick up a foul on the big man.
  • 2Q 5:01: Miss, passed up a mid-range pull up and opted to go over two defenders with a hook, not a good decision.
  • 2Q 4:20: Miss, top of the key three which he has to take. He’s wide open, and completely miscalculates the weight needed on the shot.
  • 2Q 3:12: Miss, no choice but to take it, expiring shot clock after DeRozan got blocked.
  • 2Q :55: Make, Hill closes out too hard and Lowry drives and banks it in, nice move.
  • 3Q 5:12: Make, classic Lowry. Puts Hill on his hip and leans in for the banker.
  • 3Q 4:10: Miss, another shot that he generally makes, can’t argue with it. A three when his guy has gotten screened has been good business this season.
  • 4Q 7:58: Miss, a push shot in the paint. A pretty good look on the drive, no complaints.
  • 4Q 7:35: Miss, very difficult shot over the defense, probably should’ve looked to kick it out.

Overall, I thought his shots were of a decent quality.  The main complaint is that when his three wasn’t dropping early, perhaps he could’ve driven a bit more and gotten warmed up that way, instead of sticking exclusively to the perimeter.  I’ve got more confidence that he’ll bounce back than DeRozan, because the shots he actually took were ones he generally makes.
