Game 6 between the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers will tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, the league announced. The game will air on ESPNews and NBA TV in the U.S. and TSN and TSN 1050 (radio) in Canada.
Heat-Hornets and Clippers-Blazers will make up the ESPN doubleheader at 8 and 10:30, respectively. There was some speculation that with ESPN holding claim over the Friday night games and Day 2 of the NFL Draft taking place on ESPN 2 that the Raptors could be in for another 6 p.m. tip, with ESPN making Friday’s slate a triple-header. I’m not sure how legitimate that speculation was, and while it would have made some sense, this is probably a better outcome for everyone.
This always seemed, to me, anyway, the most likely outcome. And yeah, it essentially says “Heat-Hornets is more important than Raptors-Pacers,” which, yeah, it’s the Heat. And did you watch Games 1-4 of this series? I get it though. so please, go ahead and rage about being on NBA TV again.
By the way, if the Raptors and Hornets both close out Friday, the way things look right now suggests Game 1 would go Sunday.
