The Raptors offense has struggled to create in the half-court. That tide changed in Game 3 as they were able to generate excellent looks while going back to the simplicity of the pick ‘n roll.
Though Marc Gasol did have some embarrassing moments in this game, his combination play with Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet was instrumental in cracking the Celtics stingy defense. OG’s shot will get the glory but it is these sequences that kept the Raptors in it. In the below video I break down how the Raptors ran the pick ‘n roll to death with good results:
