Pascal Siakam named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Pascal Siakam is your Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 16 but won't replace Kevin Durant or Draymond Green in the All-Star game.

Pascal Siakam has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 16, as reported by Shams Charania.

He averaged 24.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 40.1 minutes while shooting 50% from deep and 49.3% from the field. Siakam lead the Raps to four straight wins across five days. It’s his fourth career POTW award.

Siakam’s play as of late has garnered a lot of attention with some speculating that he could possibly replace Kevin Durant or Draymond Green in the All-Star game on February 20th.

However just moments after being awarded POTW, it was also announced that Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray will be replacing Durant and Green, respectively.

Ironically, the Raptors are in Charlotte tonight to take on the Hornets so Siakam and Ball will see each other shortly. Tip off is at 7PM.
