Justin Champ-penny has been signed to a deal.  Samson wrote about him in detail, so check that piece out to learn more about what he brings to the roster.

This shouldn’t necessarily be seen as a guaranteed roster spot but more of an invitation to compete in training camp. You may recall that after a series of strong performances where his offensive rebounding skill won us a couple games, he lost playing time due to the emergence of Precious Achiuwa, Khem Birch returning from injury and Nick Nurse opting to shorten the rotation. He averaged 2.3 points in 36 outings while playing 8 minutes a game. He averaged 2 rebounds, which puts him 3rd on the team on a PER36 basis due to the aforementioned performances.  In my view, he’s got to do better than shooting 35% from three to make a dent in Nick Nurse’s eye.
