There are numerous rumours that Millsap could be on the block, so given that the Raptors just lost Bismack Biyombo and are now looking at the possibility of getting whatever’s left of Pau Gasol, would you do this?
The bench would be depleted, as we lose defense in Patterson and three-point shooting in Ross. Wright is one for the future but he’s not going to give you anything right now. Millsap has per game averages of 17.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.7 blocks, 47% FG. Keep in mind, he’s 31 compared to Patterson who’s only 27. It would definitely be a “win now” move but would the Raptors be giving up too much?
Granted, this had a lot more traction to it before Boston nabbed Al Horford, but there’s still a chance…
