Position: Live Video Producer
Responsible for the live production and streaming of the Raptors Republic post-game show, Rap Up
Responsibilities:
- Curates the topics to be discussed after each game; follows key talking points and stays informed of what’s important that game
- Works with co-hosts to plan topics and cue them during production; has an “in ear” role
- Shows game highlights, relevant quotes and NBA news during the show in a cohesive manner
- Posts “live highlights” to Twitter and social media during the games using OBS (training provided)
- Produced, cues, cuts all content during the broadcast
- Book guests, plan segment content and coordinate guests/co-host timings
- Work with graphic artists to create the right elements for that evening’s how
- Work with Managing Director to form strategic direction of the show; pivots where needed
- Work with Branding Director to ensure cohesive branding on all show elements and pre-post communication
- Responds to live comments on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter; manages social media conversations during the game
- Create post-game content using the live show recordings and post on social media channels
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as they will need to work with co-hosts, content producers, graphic designers and writers
- Punctuality and professionalism is key; must be available during all Raptors games to produce
- Knowledge of streaming services like StreamYard or ReStream; training provided if skill is not present
- An eye for aesthetics, smooth transitions, seamless segues during the broadcast
- Intermediate knowledge of OBS, Adobe Premiere (or Final Cut Pro); training provided if skill not present
- Must have the ability to multi-task as producing a show with a live audience requires a keen eye to context and conversation tone, while doing producing duties
- Enthusiasm for basketball is a nice-to-have
Position: Podcast Producer
Responsible for the live production and streaming of the Raptors Republic post-game show, Rap Up
Responsibilities:
- Works with co-hosts to plan topics to be discussed on podcasts
- Support co-hosts by providing relevant statistics and context for topics being discussed
- Produced, cues, cuts all content for the podcast
- Book guests, plan segment content and coordinate guests/co-host timings
- Create analytics reports for management consumption
- Provide ideas and insights into how RR’s podcast offering can be improved
- Work with graphic artists to create the right elements for that evening’s how
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as they will need to work with co-hosts, content producers, graphic designers and writers
- Punctuality and professionalism is key; must be available during all Raptors games to produce
- Knowledge of audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity) – training to be provided
- Enthusiasm for basketball is a nice-to-have
