We’ll get you the full quotes the paper guys collect in tomorrow morning’s Morning Coffee. For now, we’ll have to rely on Twitter to get some reaction to the horrible Game 2 loss.
Let’s get the big news out of the way, and it’s Kyle Lowry who had another crappy game picking up a shin contusion.
Kyle Lowry sustained left shin contusion at 5:56 mark of 4th Q on Tuesday and will be reevaluated Wednesday. #WeTheNorth #RaptorsvWizards

He’s been so awful in the first two games that it doesn’t even matter. He picked up another silly third foul (check DeRozan’s reaction below) which started the Raptors second-quarter downfall. Obviously, we need him because he has the ability to win a game, though it’s hard to see him doing that against a well-organized Wizards defense that’s making use of Otto Porter Jr., to good effect.

Here’s Paul Pierce having a dig. God bless him, wish he was on our team. Damn it, he was available too:
Paul Pierce shouting on the way to the locker room after #wizards Game 2 win: "I don't want to go through customs no more."

Here we have Vasquez, who basically got torn apart in the second quarter talking about playing hard which is a bit hypocritical. Not saying he sandbagged it completely, but still, stop saying you have to play hard and just play hard.
Vasquez: "Playoffs mean you have to play with everything we you got. I don’t think we did.”

DeMar DeRozan, who has perhaps looked the most mature and composed player on the court offered some words of confidence. I’m not sure if he’s trying to convince the media, his teammates, or just himself.
DeRozan: "It's far from over. We still have to go in there place. Confidence is still high. Anything can happen. We're not down on ourself"

Dwane Casey, who has been proven to be tactically out of order in this series, broke this down into an effort thing, which I don’t think it was since Washington won because of their utilization of guys like Porter, Sessions, Seraphin and of course, Wall and Beal’s shooting and speed. They didn’t win because they were more “physical”, they won because they were smarter.
Casey: "I don’t see their guys hitting the floor. I see them waltzing in, waving at us and laughing at us going to the basket."
— Josh Lewenberg (@JLew1050) April 22, 2015
Casey says he challenged his team to match Washington's toughness and physicality. Hasn't been case so far
— Ryan Wolstat (@WolstatSun) April 22, 2015
He also commented on Lowry’s poor play, and indicated that he might still be recovering from injury. This is such a crazy quote because Casey did nothing to ease Lowry back after his injury and instead had him play 33, 36, 35 and 37 minutes immediately after coming back. Mind-boggling stuff, man.
Casey on Lowry: "He's just trying to get back in the groove… I think as the series goes on he'll get better, get his conditioning better"
— Josh Lewenberg (@JLew1050) April 22, 2015
Apparently, Kyle Lowry was booed in this game which I missed, what with watching the game on mute to avoid the drivel that our commentators spit. Lowry heard it and took it a little casually:
"It wasn't the first time. The fans, they can do whatever they want to do.” – Kyle Lowry on being booed.
— Ryan Wolstat (@WolstatSun) April 22, 2015
Here’s Bradley Beal laughing at the idea of the Raptors trying to play them physical, which Casey insists they have to do:
Beal: "They think they're a physical team. And they are but we're not going to back down from them"
— Josh Lewenberg (@JLew1050) April 22, 2015
Beal said he was taking shots the Raptors wanted him to take in Game 1, everything opened up after he got some easy looks at basket tonight
— Josh Lewenberg (@JLew1050) April 22, 2015
Someone interviewed Chuck Hayes:
Chuck Hayes says Raptors are experienced enough, just lacking "the will to win right now." still sees it as long series. Win 1 gain momentum
— Ryan Wolstat (@WolstatSun) April 22, 2015
Wizards giving credit to Otto Porter Jr., whose defensive activity was key. I said on the podcast that he’s their James Johnson, except that he’s got a defined role and predictable minutes.
Bradley Beal on Otto Porter: "I love Otto, man. ‘Cause he does all the little things. He’s everywhere."

Finally, I’ll leave you with the most ridiculous Casey quote of the night:
Casey: "We changed some things trying to do some different things defensively… Once they saw the 3-ball go in… that was the difference"
— Josh Lewenberg (@JLew1050) April 22, 2015
He thinks Washington won because they were buoyed by the confidence received after they “saw” the three go in. No, man, are you really this clueless? Do you have any idea of all the matchups on the court that you failed to counter, and the situations that Washington created to give themselves an advantage? They won because they were prepared, not because they saw a couple shots go in and took it from there. FFS, even sane heads like Zach Lowe and Tim Chisholm are having a go at him:
James Johnson coming in the game to counter Washington's small-ball lineups, but then not guarding Paul Pierce, was a weird thing.
— Zach Lowe (@ZachLowe_NBA) April 22, 2015
I don't know if I can recall a Playoff series that the Raptors have been more ill-prepared for.
— Tim Chisholm (@timpchisholm) April 22, 2015
I’m out.
