PHOTO: Hats designed by Raptors for charity now on sale

Gonna need to hear everyone's thoughts on these.

So, the Toronto Raptors players designed some hats for sale to the public.

Patrick Patterson appears to be leading the cause, posting the following on Instagram on Thursday:

ATTENTION‼️ I’m going to need EVERYONE to stop by @RealSports Apparel and purchase this limited edition hat my teammates and I designed. Will be giving away tickets to the Top 5 Best Photos in the hat to Thur night game vs. NYK. Also, please retweet this to support the MLSE Foundation. #hatstraightfire 🔥Link in Bio.

According to NBA.com/Raptors/PlayerDesigns, where you can purchase the hat (along with at Real Sports), this hat was designed by Patterson, Bismack Biyombo, Luis Scola, and Lucas Nogueira. In other words, Patterson designed it while Scola babysat Nogueira and Biyombo read Algoa or something.

It’s for a good cause, with proceeds going to support the MLSE Foundation, and that’s great. I just…maybe I’m just a very plainly dressed 29-year-old (very) white guy, but…this hat isn’t doing it for me. It’s just too busy, from the leather material to the gold New Era buckle (respect for making it adjustable for us big-headed folk).

Luckily, there are three others, each designed by a different group of players and to support a different charity.

I’m a solid-color kind of guy, and I skew plain in general, so the #SixBlackTO might be my favorite. I do wonder, though, if I could pull of the #BlackoutRaps, but I’m pretty sure the answer is “naw, dude, be real.” I’ll go put my Routine Baseball ski knit and let the more fashionable folks tell me which of these four hats is best. Whichever that is, it will cost you $100 (or $80 for Patterson’s).
