Sometimes you just can’t risk it.
Despite Bismack Biyombo starting the season snake-bitten enough around the rim that we’re now employing The Bismack Biyombo Blown Bunny Counter, Charlie Villanueva couldn’t risk surrendering an open dunk. Biyombo, he of the nine misses within 10 feet of the basket through just four games, received a great pass to leave him wide open underneath the Mavericks’ basket late in the third quarter, and Villanueva, a former No. 7 pick of the Raptors, recovered with a hard foul.
At least one Mavericks fan was left unimpressed that the Mavericks couldn’t handle Biyombo and his 36.8-percent mark from the floor.

On the bright side for the Mavs and this fan, Biyombo split the pair. On the downside, the Mavericks struggling to limit the Raptors’ offense was a storyline throughout the entire second half, helping lead to a Raptors victory.
