Wasn’t hitting his shots, but looked active on the other end of the floor. Hopefully he’s not injured badly, because even with Ibaka and Tucker in tow, they’ll need him in the playoffs. | ||||||||

Ibaka36 MIN, 19 PTS, 5 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 7-11 FG, 2-2 3FG, 3-3 FT, 2 BLK, 1 TO, -6 +/- Ibaka was the best Raptor tonight on the offensive end, and he tried to bring the energy back to the team a couple of times while everyone was looking worn out, but at the end of the day it just wasn’t going to happen. He kept working though, and that’ll be important going forward. | ||||||||

He dominated Thon Maker in the opening minutes and established himself as a problem matchup for the Bucks. However, on the defensive end, he was a non-factor at best, and because of that, it once again didn’t make sense for him to play late. | ||||||||

He also just couldn’t stop anyone on the other end of the floor, and he has to be better defensively for this team to win tough, gritty games like this. | ||||||||

He just looked completely exhausted tonight, which is reasonable considering how much weight has been on his shoulders since the Lowry injury. The team needs him to be incredible to win lately, and there’s going to be nights he doesn’t have it. He didn’t tonight, but he has more than enough times lately that it’s hard to blame him for this one. | ||||||||

If Carroll misses some time, the Raptors might have to ask even more of him going forward. | ||||||||

Just a rough matchup for him versus Milwaukee though, where almost everyone on the court for the Bucks was bigger than him, and he struggled defensively because of that. | ||||||||

But aside from that one minute, he just looked a step slow tonight and didn’t bring a lot to the table on either end of the floor. | ||||||||

 A- | Dwane Casey The team was tired tonight, and Casey tried a lot of things to get them going, including keeping DeMar’s minutes low tonight, which is a victory in a way. Not on him that the players were exhausted. | ||||||||
Things We Saw
- The Raptors will get a badly needed three-day rest after this one, with their next game coming in New Orleans on Wednesday night. Hopefully the rest does everyone good, because they clearly needed it tonight.
- At the same time, with Lowry out, these nights were going to happen. Kyle does so much for the team, and it’s hard to replace his impact. That was clear tonight, and the balance has to be getting key wins like last night in Washington to make up for the rough nights like tonight.
- Giannis is a show. Every time you watch the Bucks he does a handful of things that just amaze, and tonight was no different. Easily one of the most entertaining players in the league.
