Couldn’t hit a three but did hit the boards.

B
P. Patterson15 MIN, 3 PTS, 1 REB, 0 AST, 2 STL, 1-1 FG, 1-1 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 2 +/-

Hard to do much in 15 minutes of action in a meaningless game.

J. Valanciunas15 MIN, 13 PTS, 7 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 6-10 FG, 1-1 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 15 +/-

Mans hit a three. How could I give him anything else. Offence leaned on him heavily in the first quarter and he was very good. He played loose, and maybe that’s something that can help him going forward.

A+
N. Powell34 MIN, 25 PTS, 2 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 10-13 FG, 3-5 3FG, 2-2 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 6 +/-

Was sensational getting to the rack and shot his threes with confidence. Didn’t have a turnover either. Great night to show Casey he’s ready to contribute in the playoffs.

A
K. Lowry17 MIN, 13 PTS, 2 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 4-8 FG, 1-5 3FG, 4-6 FT, 0 BLK, 4 TO, 11 +/-

Still shaking off rust with four turnovers in 17 minutes. Has gone 8-for-24 (33.3%) from beyond the arc since returning. Good Kyle should be enough to handle the Bucks, but the Raptors will need great Kyle thereafter.

A
P. Siakam28 MIN, 8 PTS, 10 REB, 0 AST, 1 STL, 4-8 FG, 0-1 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 22 +/-

Energizer bunny while he was on, his motor never stops. Was good to see him get some decent run.

B-
D. Wright28 MIN, 9 PTS, 1 REB, 0 AST, 2 STL, 3-10 FG, 1-3 3FG, 2-4 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 15 +/-

Struggled from the field and got blocked by Tavares late. Ran the team well, though.

B
J. Poeltl23 MIN, 7 PTS, 5 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 3-3 FG, 0-0 3FG, 1-2 FT, 1 BLK, 0 TO, -3 +/-

Solid, if not spectacular. These are the types of nights I’ve come to expect from Poeltl.

F. VanVleet21 MIN, 5 PTS, 4 REB, 6 AST, 0 STL, 2-7 FG, 0-1 3FG, 1-2 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 9 +/-

Another guy who’s just solid and gets the job done when he comes in. Have enjoyed watching his poise this season. Always plays like he belongs.

B. Caboclo17 MIN, 11 PTS, 4 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 5-11 FG, 1-3 3FG, 0-0 FT, 1 BLK, 0 TO, -3 +/-

Speaking of belonging, I’ve watched Bruno with the 905 all season and was glad to watch him play the way he did tonight. Hope everyone else sees that he has made genuine strides towards becoming an NBA player that can contribute.

L. Nogueira13 MIN, 0 PTS, 3 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 0-3 FG, 0-2 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, -5 +/-

Didn’t have too much of an impact. Has fallen off the map after the heights of the early season. I honestly thought there was a chance he might get sent down to the 905 after the Cavs picked up Tavares, but the Raptors might need his length in spot minutes against the Bucks.

B
C. Joseph6 MIN, 2 PTS, 1 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 1-5 FG, 0-0 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 2 +/-

Didn’t play much so hard to say much. He’s been great in the absence of Lowry, and has peaked at the right time. This is the Joseph the Raptors know and love.

B+
P. Tucker6 MIN, 0 PTS, 2 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 0-2 FG, 0-1 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 2 +/-

The man is absolutely incapable of not giving a damn. Game 82 with seeding locked up and was defending like it was Game 1. He’s chomping at the bit.

A
Dwane Casey

He has built a reputation of hard work and staying true to the game, so I’m completely fine with not tanking this one away. Everyone got a look, and Lowry got some more run to get in game shape. He freed Bruno too.

Things We Saw

  1. The Raptors clearly didn’t care for avoiding Cleveland in the second round. As Casey said, “don’t f&$* with the game or the game will f@#^ with you.” Might have been a case of wanting leave the Q with a W having not won there since Nov. 22, 2014.
  2. The boys from the 905 got some quality run and did not disappoint. Obviously, can’t make too much of it considering the nature of the game, but time on an NBA floor can only aid their progress.
  3. A win’s a win, and the Raptors finish 51-31, the same record as the Cavs. Whodathunkit going in. Considering the injuries to Lowry and Patterson, it’s impressive that they’ve put together another 50+ win season.
