As rumoured, the Raptors have signed center Eric Moreland to a deal with terms undisclosed. The potential rationale behind this signing was discussed earlier this week. Basically, it’s an Exhibit 10 deal which means the Raptors have the ability to exercise an option to convert him to a two-way contract. That means Moreland can get a bonus if he switches over to the G-League if waived by the Raptors. You can have a maximum of six such players, and the Raptors have five.
As far as playing for the big club, he could be seen as a third string center. More likely, though, is him competing for a two-way deal with Chris Boucher for the last two-day contract (the other one is Jordan Loyd).
