Fan Duel Toronto Raptors

Podcast: Dr Is In – Raptors on a Roll, Pau Gasol and College Ball on the Whole

We look in and around the All-Star break to see where the possibilities lie, and pepper all of it with some draft talk that actually matters.

This week on The Doctor is In with Phdsteve, I have called in the boys from the world wide roundtable to talk ball and we have a discussion about all the action in NBA and NCAA while continually tying it back to the Raptors!  Joined by my brother Mike (who knows college basketball), Greg Mason (the brain from the south), and Blair Miller from The Fifth Quarter Blog we discuss:

  • Greg takes a stab at last week’s mailbag and what to do to improve the game of Jonas
  • A great road trip so far as the Raps go 3-1 and have only 2 loses in the last two weeks heading into Sacramento
  • A whole lot of optimism about the schedule and fixtures leading up to the All-Star break
  • Questions about what the team can and will do come the trade deadline
  • Steve loves Pau Gasol
  • Blair & Mike re-visit the #tanknation discussion

And then we get about 20 good minutes of NCAA talk

  • Jim Boeheim’s Syracuse remains undefeated and goes to #1 in the polls after a huge win Saturday night, 91-89, in overtime vs Duke
  • Florida is now top 3 and had a big 68-58 win over Mizzou where Chris Walker made his debut. Who is he? Will he propel Florida to #1? Can he be a top 10 pick?
  • Wichita State is still undefeated and San Diego State is also top 5- Is there a Cinderella Story here?
  • And then all the obligatory talk about Wiggins, Embiid, Parker and 1 new name: Willie Cauley-Stein
