The tyranny of Robin Lopez knows no end.
For years, the bushy starfish-haired centre has harassed the league’s mascots, openly waging war on them. He claims to be “on a mission from God” to extinguish the league of all affable in-arena entertainers, and to date nobody, not even the great Zach Lowe, has been able to prevent his repeated successes.
In March, The Raptor tried to get one over on Lopez, who showed in response that he’s not above a full-on physical assault.
Well, The Raptor and Lopez went another round Tuesday as the New York Knicks visited the Air Canada Centre. It went about how you’d expect given Lopez’ unblemished record:
Maybe at All-Star Weekend here in Toronto, all of the league’s mascots can show a united front against Lopez. There’s power in numbers, guys.
