It wasn’t that long ago that DeMar DeRozan was a quiet, introverted player who only occasionally said much beyond the standard cliches. His personality seems to have grown along with his game, or at least been revealed incrementally with each new post move. Now, in his seventh season, DeRozan’s value as an interview has increased as much as his value as a player.
In other words, the dude’s turned into a veritable quote machine. Sometimes, anyway. It all started with “we out here like Michael Phelps” and has continued from there, to the point that DeRozan’s a must-listen after most games.
Coming off of a season-high 35 points against the Washington Wizards, Friday was no different. DeRozan riffed on his performances against Washington, Kyle Lowry’s “small man complex,” and more.
