The Toronto Raptors begin their title defense in the 1st round against Caris LaVert and the Brooklyn Nets. The Raptors finished their bubble games 7-1 and with the highest winning percentage in franchise history, just one year after losing Kawhi Leonard in free agency.
The Nets, meanwhile, have had a rollercoaster ride of a season. They’ve had a transition year with Kevin Durant missing the entire season. Even of the Nets players that played in the regular season, 6 of them did not arrive in the NBA’s Disney World bubble. They somehow still went 5-3 in the bubble and jumped from the 8th seed to the 7th seed in the East to lockup a matchup with the defending champions.
