The future is here and very present in Toronto, who selected Scottie Barnes with the fourth overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Thursday night.

Barnes spent last year with Florida State, averaging 10.3 points, 4.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field.
Scouts have praised him for his versatility, size and defence. He’s also known for his playmaking ability, being pegged as a point-forward. His scoring still needs work but with one of the best developmental systems in the league, Toronto should have no problem helping him with that.
While speculation regarding the Raptors draft plans may have cooled off, rumours about free agency and trades will officially begun to heat up.
