Raptors sign Reggie Perry to Exhibit 10 contract

The former Brooklyn Nets big man is the 20th and final camp invite for the Toronto Raptors.

The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Reggie Perry to an exhibit 10 contract, making him the 20th and final invite to training camp.

After attending Mississippi State for two seasons, the 6-foot-9 Perry was selected 57th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2020 NBA Draft before his rights were traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a three-team deal with Detroit.

In 26 games as a rookie with the Nets last season, Perry averaged 3.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and shot 40.1 percent from the field in 8.1 minutes per game.

The 21-year-old will have stiff competition for a roster spot, with Yuta Watanabe, Freddie Gillespie, Sam Dekker, Ishmail Wainright and Isaac Bonga the other 6-foot-9(ish) forwards on partial or non-guaranteed deal. Given that it is an exhibit 10 contract, it’s likely that Perry will get a small bonus if he signs with Toronto’s G League team, the Raptors 905.
