Here’s the block I was talking about. Thomas Robinson didn’t know what hit him.

dont crusify me for this but i think we should go after anthony bennett. No matter what you have to say about this dude he has talent POINT BLANK! he could be like a kenneth faried with a jumpshot within a few years. The cavs just drafted wiggins which will probably play sf in the nba and have tristan thompson at pf i dont see this first pick (anthony bennet) getting PT over any of these guys so why not bring the kid home?

    • rapierraptor

I don’t get the Faried reference since I haven’t even seen 1/4 of Faried’s motor from Bennett BUT I haven’t given up on him at all.

what im getting at is that he has that type of talent.. if you watch his unlv games you’d see what im talking about. Its going to be a process but he’ll get there.

        • rapierraptor

Yeah I think he’ll be a good player too. Cavs need to clear up some cap space so he’s definitely attainable.

there’s no denying he’s a talented basketball player, and his situation last year (too much hype, injury / out of shape to start the year, a bit of a dysfunctional roster, etc.) wasn’t ideal.

however, he strikes me (and many) as a classic tweener type player, a guy without a natural (or at least comfortable) position in the L. lots of very talented players have been drafted high based on their skillset and performance in college who never panned out (at least to the degree they were expected to), in no small part due to their inability to have a position on the floor. too small to guard 4’s in the post, too big to guard 3’s or stretch 4’s on the perimeter. issues that didn’t crop up in college simply because the level of opposition isn’t there.

Me personally, I prefer Tristan than Bennett. Plus I think Bennett still being a former #1 overall pick might still be too costly to get, at the very least I think it would cost just as much for him as Tristan, and right now Tristan is the obvious more ready one. Plus Tristan fits a position we could use help with. I think the Cavs value Bennett too much still. Not worth the cost to find out.

That Tyler Hansbrough plays like he has 4 legs/horse standing up analogy was awesome.

Agree. 100% gold. And…. he is a dickhead (even if hes our dickhead). The guy has very little skill .. if I was defending him I would literally let him shoot every time .. chances are he misses. To his credit, he is able to draw fouls, but without that, his offensive game would be zero. Im ok with the signing (an energy guy can never hurt), but hes still one of my least favourite players in the league .. even if hes on the raps

  • Arse, I feel you on the Nando De Colo/Roko Ukic irrational love… Kinda sad to see him leave…even though I know deep in my heart that he’s probably not as good as we think he is.

Underdog. Hustle. Great name. Runs a lot. Wears a mask. What else can you ask for?

Clairvoyant Andrew correctly predicts McBob to Heat. Is Jameer Nelson next?
