Indiana Pacers94FinalRecap | Box Score106Toronto Raptors
Amir Johnson, PF 24 MIN | 3-3 FG | 1-2 FT | 4 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 7 PTS | +9Couple nice passes, couple grimaces, limited minutes which should’ve been even more limited since he may as well have a hospital wristband on and be carried around by a nurse.  The guy needs a rest, bad.

Terrence Ross, SF 27 MIN | 3-11 FG | 2-2 FT | 7 REB | 1 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 3 TO | 8 PTS | -9I don’t mind him picking up offensive fouls, committing turnovers as long as his intentions are to drive the ball. They were tonight, so all is forgiven.  Handled the ball a lot more with Fields in the lineup instead of Vasquez, which is heading in the right direction.

Jonas Valanciunas, C 27 MIN | 3-12 FG | 4-4 FT | 14 REB | 0 AST | 1 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 10 PTS | +5Poor shooting game against a good defensive Indiana big line. Usually he retreats back to his shell but managed to clean up 14 rebounds, not lose his cool, and only commit one ridiculous offensive foul.  I say chalk this up as progress.

Kyle Lowry, PG 26 MIN | 4-10 FG | 0-0 FT | 4 REB | 7 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 9 PTS | +10Didn’t have to do much tonight other than establish the early attitude.  He basically set the car to cruise control and took a nap.

Landry Fields, SG 21 MIN | 2-4 FG | 4-4 FT | 2 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 8 PTS | +1How can you go from being completely unused to a back-to-back starter? Is Casey trolling us? A nice give-and-go, strong work on the offensive boards, and generally intelligent basketball.  The guy is a useful player who we really can use on a much more consistent basis, and it creates competition on the team which helps guys like Ross and Johnson.

Tyler Hansbrough, PF 19 MIN | 1-1 FG | 2-3 FT | 5 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 1 TO | 4 PTS | +12Ran this pick ‘n roll for an And1 really nice and banged on the boards against his former team.

James Johnson, PF 15 MIN | 6-9 FG | 0-0 FT | 3 REB | 1 AST | 0 STL | 2 BLK | 0 TO | 13 PTS | +17“Man cannot change himself without suffering for he is the sculptor and the statue”. He has carved himself to be a decent offensive player and ended up punctuating the game with this dunk.  Had a nice pass in transition, some deflections, and played bothersome defense not allowing Indiana to get into what can loosely be described as their offensive sets.

Patrick Patterson, PF 23 MIN | 3-7 FG | 4-4 FT | 8 REB | 2 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 11 PTS | +8Nice work on the boards, man. It’s taken him a while to come around but now that he’s found his role in the smaller second-unit lineup, he’s learning to get his.  I’m impressed by the defensive work in the last couple games, which involves a lot of scrambling, covering guys on mismatches, and then retreating to collect boards.

Lucas Nogueira, C 2 MIN | 0-3 FG | 0-0 FT | 1 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 0 PTS | -5Missed this. Spoiled my mood.

Greg Stiemsma, C 1 MIN | 0-0 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 0 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 0 TO | 0 PTS | -5He played.

Greivis Vasquez, PG 25 MIN | 4-13 FG | 0-0 FT | 0 REB | 4 AST | 0 STL | 1 BLK | 1 TO | 10 PTS | +2Started off horribly, missing layups and open shots, but ended up making everything in the second half. He was recovering from the flu so gets a pass.  His off-the-backboard shot is golden, you know what I’m talking about: drive right, pull-up on one leg or lean, and then kiss it off the window, and then complain to the refs about the lack of And1.  Seriously though, he’s got those angles down.

Louis Williams, SG 30 MIN | 9-18 FG | 3-3 FT | 4 REB | 3 AST | 0 STL | 0 BLK | 2 TO | 26 PTS | +15Mo shats!!! Sam Mitchell would’ve loved this guy.  He’s Mike James, except more responsible and not a me-first guy.  His style of play is always the same and tonight the shot was falling, hence the big numbers.

Chuck Hayes, C DNP COACH’S DECISION MIN | FG | FT | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO | PTS | DNPCD…why not? It’s the Pacers, you’d think THIS would be the game to get him in.

Dwane Casey
Just have an A+ for starting Landry and shut up.
