Grandstand Highlight of the Night: DeMarcus Cousins gets T’d up

The fan-made highlight of the night, brought to you by Grandstand.

I’ve only sat courtside once (it was technically the second row). It was very cool. Milos Raonic was nearby and the Raptors lost to the Brandon Jennings-led Bucks. As much as the action is incredible to see up close, the primary draw, I think, is the feel you get for the emotion of the game. Players calling out switches, arguing with each other, coaches yelling, players complaining to the referees, and so on.

Players complaining to the referees.

Please remind me the next time I luck into some money (the Bucks seats were free for buying season tickets for the following year) to pencil the Sacramento Kings in as a potential floor-seat opponent. DeMarcus Cousins seems worth the ticket price for all kinds of basketball reasons, but his constant official-griping may be the best reason of all. To wit, seeing Cousins get T’d up looks like it’d be awesome up close.

But perhaps it would have been best to let sleeping dogs lie. Cousins was an absolute beast in the first half but was quiet for a while until Bismack Biyombo and the officials decided to grind his gears. He’d finish with 36 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks, shooting 12-of-22 from the floor and 3-of-6 from outside while providing terrific drive deterrence at the rim.

I have no idea what the solution to DeMarcus Cousins is, but apparently it’s not annoying him.
