Grandstand Highlight of the Night: Gerald Green needs to chill

The fan-made highlight of the night, brought to you by Grandstand.

Miami Heat fans know their players well, it seems.

Early in Friday’s game against the Toronto Raptors, Gerald green knocked down an open three after Kyle Lowry was a little late getting back into position thanks to a Hassan Whiteside screen (a nice piece of action, shouts to Erik Spoelstra). It didn’t seem like a huge deal, as Green is shooting 32.5 percent from long-range on the season and is a solid, if unremarkable, 36.6-percent career outside shooter. “Many more to come,” the poster of the highlight below commented.

Well, it got him hot. He wound up hitting 3-of-5 from outside for 10 points in the first half, with the Heat outscoring the Raptors by four in his 16 minutes. it’s only the fourth time all season Green’s hit triples in triplicate, and he added a fourth in the third quarter.

With the Raptors up four heading into the fourth quarter, Gerald Green is welcome to chill any time now.
