Raptors Sign Shooting Guard Armoni Brooks to 10-Day Contract

A talented addition.

The Raptors announced this morning that they have signed Armoni Brooks to a 10-Day contract.

The news was first reported by Blake Murphy of Sportsnet before being confirmed by the team.

As a result of signing Brooks, the Raptors also announced that they have released D.J. Wilson, who returned to the Raptors on his second 10-Day stint but was plagued by a knee injury.

Brooks, a 23 year old shooting guard out of the University of Houston, played for the Washington Wizards during the 2019 NBA Summer League before signing with the College Park Skyhawks, affiliate team of the Atlanta Hawks. Since 2019 Brooks has spent time with the Skyhawks and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Most recently he totalled 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists on 9 of 18 shooting (making 6 of 11 threes) in a 24 point loss to the Raptors 905.

Brooks has 61 games of NBA experience under his belt.

Armoni Brooks signed to the Saskatchewan Rattlers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League during their 2020 bubble season, but did not play a single game due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This would be the first instance of a CEBL player signing with the Raptors.
