Per Keith Smith of Spotrac, Svi has exercised his player option and will return to the Raptors for the 2022-23 season.
Svi Mykhailiuk has exercised his $1.9 million player option with the Toronto Raptors for 2022-23, a league source tells @spotrac.

It’s not a huge salary for Mykhailiuk, but the Raptors will be dangerously close to the luxury tax line, and they likely won’t cross it this upcoming season. This gives them less flexibility this offseason, especially considering it’s likely that Mykhailiuk doesn’t play a whole lot for the team.
Mykhailiuk shot only 30.6 percent from deep this past season, which was not enough to earn playing time. He averaged 12.8 minutes per game, his fewest since his rookie year in 2018-19. He never put it together on the court, which Samson Folk covers in much better detail here.
He could do more this upcoming season. Toronto is desperate for shooting, and Mykhailiuk still has the reputation and the stroke of a shooter. The ball just actually needs to fall through the hoop. He doesn’t offer enough elsewhere to earn rotation minutes otherwise. All told, this isn’t a surprise, as he likely wasn’t going to earn more than this amount of money on the open market. Toronto’s roster is slowly shaping into form for the upcoming season. Next up, the draft. You can find our extensive draft history here to prepare you for the real thing on June 23.
