O. Anunoby32 MIN, 14 PTS, 6 REB, 3 AST, 6 STL, 5-10 FG, 2-7 3FG, 2-2 FT, 2 BLK, 1 TO, 12 +/-OG was the best defender on the Raptors tonight who was a hawk all night long on the defensive end. Blowing up actions by going for steals, containing his man on the ball, providing help on many drives, whatever you needed OG did that. Solid offensive night from him as well, had some very fluid passes.

P. Siakam35 MIN, 31 PTS, 12 REB, 6 AST, 0 STL, 8-21 FG, 2-3 3FG, 13-16 FT, 2 BLK, 0 TO, 30 +/-Once again the best Raptor of the night lead the way scoring wise with his relentless driving as usual but he was able to convert a very high percentage of his free throws going 13-16 which bodes well for the future. Another strong shooting night for Pascal along with finding his teammates open looks and moving without the ball well.

C. Koloko22 MIN, 9 PTS, 5 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 4-7 FG, 0-0 3FG, 1-3 FT, 3 BLK, 2 TO, 23 +/-Another start for the rook who showed great signs of being a potential pick and roll threat down the line along with a lot of effort towards protecting the rim. Allowed himself to benefit from the playmakers around him and get some easy looks.

G. Trent Jr.37 MIN, 21 PTS, 2 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 7-16 FG, 2-6 3FG, 5-6 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 28 +/-Not the best night shooting wise from Gary but he found other areas of the floor to score from and his connective passing was good as well, didn’t rush anything and was able to find his spots on offense.
A+
S. Barnes34 MIN, 21 PTS, 7 REB, 8 AST, 1 STL, 7-14 FG, 5-9 3FG, 2-3 FT, 0 BLK, 2 TO, 31 +/-Extremely impactful game from Scottie including multiple first quarter threes and a career high in made threes. Scottie was a jack of all trades tonight but the story is his 3p shooting and playmaking in Freds absence, spent a lot of time on Trae Young as well and bothered him some.

K. Birch09 MIN, 5 PTS, 2 REB, 0 AST, 2 STL, 1-1 FG, 1-1 3FG, 2-2 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 7 +/-Solid defense from Birch tonight, didn’t really give you a lot offensively but did everything you want on defense from a bench big.

P. Achiuwa18 MIN, 10 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 2-3 FG, 0-1 3FG, 6-6 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 11 +/-Solid showing tonight from Precious, he spent time containing Trae on the floor which was huge for the overall gameplay for Trae, was an aggressive driver as usual but really his defense against Trae is his big contribution of the night.
B+
C. Boucher21 MIN, 11 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 4-6 FG, 1-3 3FG, 2-2 FT, 1 BLK, 0 TO, 9 +/-Another great showing off the bench for Boucher who was active all over the floor all night and was especially good off the ball on defense.

M. Flynn09 MIN, 4 PTS, 1 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 2-6 FG, 0-2 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, -6 +/-Was never able to find a true rhythm with his time on the court, wasn’t essentially a non factor for the game.
Nick NurseVery good gameplay for Trae Young who was very hot coming into today’s game, sent multiple defenders for his drives and switched actions to make him uncomfortable. Allowed Scottie Barnes to play point guard and flourish as a ball handler tonight.
Things We Saw
Point Scottie is in effect and Scottie Barnes the sniper is also coming along. Big swing skill for Scottie is 3p shooting and if he continues to shoot with the confidence he had today great things will happen.
More comfortable with the idea of Scottie Barnes taking more usage away from the banged up Fred VanVleet after tonight.
Pascal Siakam is coming for that top 5 spot he talked about.
