AUDIO: Raptors playoff anthem, ‘Northside Since ’95’

This is great.

Just a few days out from their third consecutive playoff appearance, the Toronto Raptors may have a playoff anthem.

Rajan, a 21-year-old musician from Toronto, released a video for his track “Northside Since ’95” over the weekend. He had already gotten the chance to play the song for DeMar DeRozan at a recent autograph signing, and a quick retweet of the video has it pushing 10,000 views in two days. And deservedly so – the song is awesome.

We reached out to Rajan to find out what the impetus for the track was. Here’s what he had to say:

I’m passionate about music and basketball so when I had the opportunity to combine both elements, the song came out almost effortlessly. My sole purpose is to help bring excitement to an already family-like fanbase. The city and the team have had an amazing year and I just wanted to contribute to the movement and help create a special moment for our hometown.

Well done, Rajan.
