“Smooth. Easy. Real comfortable, to say the least,” Patterson said of fitting in with the Raptors, despite being so new to the city that he is still living in a hotel. “I know the guys. Patterson’s fit like a glove since being acquired from Sacramento in the Rudy Gay deal about a month ago, becoming Dwane Casey’s first choice big man off of the bench thanks to his defensive positioning, smarts, rebounding and ability to stretch the floor with his shooting. Milwaukee has suffered through their share of injuries. Point guards Brandon Knight and Luke Ridnour were injured at the same time early in the season. Despite acquiring solid players like O.J. Mayo, Gary Neal and Brandon Knight during the off-season, to make their second consecutive playoff trip, their strategy now is to lose now and get a high lottery pick, a.k.a “tanking”, and evaluate their youth.
