The Raptors have sent Bruno Caboclo down to the D-League. He’ll remain on the 15-man roster as an inactive player, and will be dressing on Saturday.

The Fort Wayne roster includes some familiar names such as summer-league teammate and Canadian Myck Kabongo, former NBAer Dahntay Jaones, and Glen Rice Jr. They’re also the current D-League champions.

Just in case you’re wondering where Fort Wayne is.

Bruno’s been primarily used as a human victory cigar, much in the same vein of Brian Scalabrine, which is never good. I think the trip down to Indiana will give him a view to some of the harsher realities of professional basketball, like riding on bus for 6 hours to somewhere in the middle of nowhere. All he’s seen so far is the glamour of NBA life, so this might be good contrast.

This season he’s played in three games, going 3-9 FG and a whopping total of 8 points. Unless he was getting some serious burn in practice, it’s safe to say he wasn’t accumulating much experience.

Under the previous CBA, a team could only assign a player a maximum of three times. However, under the new one there are no limits to how many times a player of 0-2 years can be assigned. So, is Bebe next?

Fort Wayne has affiliations with the Pacers, Bucks ,Hornets, Hawks, Nets, Bulls, Nuggets, Clippers, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Blazers, Raptors, and Wizards. So basically everybody. You can watch NBA D-League highlights and live games on their YouTube channel, this was something fairly cool announced earlier.

Here’s a look at his first NBA points:
