This is a photo of my patio right now:
It is raining in downtown Toronto and has been for most of the morning. There is both a “rainfall warning” and a “special weather statement” for the area thanks to continued heavy rainfall and wind. This is the hourly forecast during the hours fans may be watching the Toronto Raptors open their season against the Indiana Pacers tonight:
This is the response from MLSE:
With our fans’ safety in mind, the 2015 @Raptors Party in Ford Fan Zone at Maple Leaf Square has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Sadly, anyone planning on hitting up Maple Leaf Square (or the Ford Fan Zone, if you will [I won’t]) for the opener is out of luck. Which really sucks, because viewing from there is a lot of fun and the atmosphere tonight probably would have been a good, if wet, one. Alas, the next chance for fans to congregate together will be for Sunday’s game, though it’s unclear if the Raptors plan to have a viewing party semi-regularly or if it was a one-time affair for the opener that won’t be rescheduled. Failing that, everyone is welcome to Zarar’s place on Sunday. Food and drinks on him.
And on the bright side, the rain only did a small number on your boy’s clean fade, so he remains fresh to death.
