Raptors905 Fall Short of Surging Westchester Knicks

A monster performance from Ronald Roberts was not enough, as the 905 dropped their second game in a row

In a tightly contested game that was close for the most part, the Raptors905 ultimately fell short against the Westchester Knicks at the Hershey Centre, dropping their second game in a row with a final score of 107-101. Going up against one of the best teams in the DLeague Eastern Conference in the Knicks, the Raptors905, who would usually look to Bruno and Delon to lead the way, instead got a monster performance from Ronald Roberts Jr., who had a 20-20 performance, with 21 points on 8/14 shooting, and 20 rebounds.

The 905 played a strong first three quarters, before the Knicks pulled away in the fourth and hung on, with 57 second half points. The Westchester Knicks, leaders of the Atlantic division in the DLeague with a record of 9-3, had a balanced attack on offense with Jimmer Fredette leading the way with 21 points, Boston College journeyman Sean Marshall chipping in 20, Travis Trice II adding 13, and Calgary-native Jordan Bachynski posting a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards. The Knicks also got a major push from their bench, including from 5-foot-6 guard Jordon Crawford at the point of attack. The ultra-quick Crawford added 10 points and 2 assists off the bench.
