Raptors signing Brandon Goodwin, Juwan Morgan, Nik Stauskas on 10-day contracts via hardship exemption

The Raps are adding some depth to the frontcourt and backcourt using the NBA's ratified hardship exemption.

According to Shams Charania, the Toronto Raptors will be signing guard Brandon Goodwin and forward Juwan Morgan to 10-day contracts through the NBA’s hardship exemption.

Goodwin is averaging 15.3 points, seven assists, 5.1 boards, and almost two steals in 35 minutes with the G-League’s Westchester Knicks. He’s played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks, along with the G-League’s Memphis Hustle, Iowa Wolves, and College Park Skyhawks.

Morgan is posting 12.6 points and 6.8 boards while shooting 55.9% from the field and 38.8% from the three in 13 appearances with the Maine Celtics. He’s played for the Utah Jazz and their G-League affiliate the Salt Lake City Stars.

The news comes off the heels of the league postponing five games between Dec. 19 and Dec 21 – one of which was the Raptors game tonight against the Orlando Magic – Toronto’s second postponement of the season, due to the increase in COVID-19 cases around the NBA.
