VIDEO: Kyle Lowry and DeMarre Carroll talk injuries

A non-update, really.

Kyle Lowry spoke to assembled media following the Toronto Raptors’ practice in Miami on Monday, the first time he’s done so since undergoing surgery on his right wrist. Notable here is that Lowry says he is already doing cardio, and that he’s set for a check-up next week. There’s still some soreness less than a week removed from the procedure, but there’s no indication that Lowry won’t be able to make the optimistic four-to-five week return date reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical at the time of the original news.

DeMarre Carroll also spoke to media, even though he didn’t participate in practice. Carroll’s dealing with a sprained left ankle suffered Saturday, but he hasn’t required a walking boot and reminded reporters his pain tolerance is high. With three games in four nights beginning Wednesday, it seems unlikely the Raptors would push it if he’s not feeling back to form, so consider him questionable for now.
