Real Stanley Johnson hours. .
![]() | TOR Raptors | 125 | Final Box Score | 121 | PHI 76ers | ![]() |
![]() A | N. Powell26 MIN, 17 PTS, 3 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 5-10 FG, 3-6 3FG, 4-5 FT, 0 BLK, 2 TO, 2 +/- Did a great job of pushing in transition and that 3-point shot has really crept back into his game. As was the case with all the starters, pretty short game. But he made his mark.
![]() B+ | P. Siakam29 MIN, 15 PTS, 9 REB, 4 AST, 0 STL, 5-14 FG, 2-6 3FG, 3-7 FT, 1 BLK, 1 TO, -4 +/- He’s long and affecting on defense, as always, but the offense isn’t all the way there. He’s reliant on his 3 ball, has a tough time reading the second line of defense, and just can’t find the pacing right now. It’ll come around. Trust the process.
![]() A | M. Gasol19 MIN, 11 PTS, 5 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 4-8 FG, 2-4 3FG, 1-1 FT, 1 BLK, 2 TO, -1 +/- Slammed onto the floor for a loose ball, kept Embiid in check (as if it were that easy) and punched in some shots from long range for good measure. Not the full Gasol, but definitely some of it.
![]() A+ | K. Lowry25 MIN, 19 PTS, 1 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL, 6-11 FG, 1-4 3FG, 6-9 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, -4 +/- An absolutely ballistic second quarter, scoring 18 points and throwing himself repeatedly into the mix. Punished and pushed the 76ers with no let up, but played less than 25 minutes in this one. Was a little overzealous with the fouls early on, but this game clearly wasn’t valued as much as most, and that was evident from the top down. All these grades come with a large grain of salt.
![]() B+ | F. VanVleet26 MIN, 10 PTS, 2 REB, 6 AST, 0 STL, 3-11 FG, 1-3 3FG, 3-3 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, -11 +/- A lot of his minutes came with Embiid on the floor, and he had a bit of trouble navigating the interior of the Sixers defense. This game was never meant to be a big indicator of what’s to come for him, so no big deal.
![]() A | R. Hollis-Jefferson25 MIN, 8 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 2-3 FG, 1-2 3FG, 3-4 FT, 0 BLK, 0 TO, 5 +/- Always impressive on defense, and flashed a couple important things on offense. Hit a three, crossed a few guys up, hunted rebounds, and chipped in some playmaking. Classic RHJ + a little extra.
![]() A- | M. Thomas23 MIN, 6 PTS, 3 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 2-7 FG, 2-5 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 14 +/- Wasn’t able to find the spacing coming off of pindowns or handoffs, but hit that big, big shot towards the end. Love to see it.
![]() A+ | C. Boucher22 MIN, 19 PTS, 9 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 7-12 FG, 4-6 3FG, 1-2 FT, 4 BLK, 1 TO, -8 +/- Masterful performance. Was able to concentrate his unparalleled chaos and unleash it on the 76ers as a roll man, floor stretching big, and anthropomorphized skyscraper coming in from the weak-side for blocks. So much fun.
![]() B+ | T. Davis16 MIN, 5 PTS, 3 REB, 2 AST, 2 STL, 1-6 FG, 1-5 3FG, 2-2 FT, 0 BLK, 2 TO, 0 +/- Had a couple nice pocket passes, cashed a corner triple, and made some stops on the defensive end. The efficiency is still lacking, but thems the breaks.
![]() B | M. Miller11 MIN, 0 PTS, 1 REB, 0 AST, 0 STL, 0-0 FG, 0-0 3FG, 0-0 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 6 +/- Similar to the 30-point comeback against the Mavericks, he was invaluable as a defender in the full-court and half-court press. Also like the game vs. Dallas, wasn’t very impactful on offense. He did his thing.
![]() A+ | S. Johnson9 MIN, 5 PTS, 4 REB, 4 AST, 0 STL, 2-4 FG, 0-1 3FG, 1-2 FT, 1 BLK, 0 TO, 9 +/- Found a valuable spot in the full-court and half-court press. Scooped to the rim for a layup, and hit the game winning shot. Incredible scenes.
![]() A+ | P. Watson5 MIN, 4 PTS, 1 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 1-1 FG, 0-0 3FG, 2-2 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 2 +/- Slick little sidestep in the lane for a bucket. Lengthy on defense, when the Raptors needed to pressure the 76ers. Good stuff. Blake Murphy is crying tears of happiness.
![]() A+ | D. Hernandez4 MIN, 6 PTS, 0 REB, 2 AST, 0 STL, 2-3 FG, 1-1 3FG, 1-3 FT, 0 BLK, 1 TO, 10 +/- Cashed a triple AND swept to the bucket for an and-1. A short stint, but remarkably impactful.
![]() A+ | Nick Nurse Not Nick Nurse, but Adrian Griffin! Loved the long leash for the end of bench players, and seemed to find the timing right to unleash the heavy defensive pressure. If you ask too early, you might not have the stamina to finish the game. Awesome stuff, and a win for Mr. Griffin! Congrats. |
Things We Saw
- Finally a shred of something good for Stanley Johnson. A tough year, and one in which most of the Raptors role players have at least had a game – well, he’s there now.
- We’re playing the waiting game for the playoffs, and we get treated to a game like this. How lucky are we?
- Tobias Harris looked awesome in the first half, and it was often at the expense of Norman Powell’s defense. A nice reminder that OG Anunoby is a huge part of the starting lineup.
