The Raptors are back on a roll after beating both the Knicks and the Mavericks in convincing fashion on the weekend. Tonight they are in Cleveland on the first night of a back-to-back against the Mavs. I always thought that the win we had over the Cavs was a disservice to this team because it… Read more »
Wow, Friday against the Grizz didn’t work out at all. The Raptors looked like…the Raptors. They were getting burned from the perimeter, interior defense was suspect, team rebounding was non-existent, they weren’t sharing the ball, and weren’t hitting their shots. Perfect storm. Today, the Magic roll into town, and the unspoken rivalry is born again.
Son, what did I say about bringing that garbage in here? Cavaliers 91, Raptors 101 – Box Expectations are still in check but that felt good. After the pre-season we had and all that talk of fatigue, chemistry, nine new players and what not, it was good to get our first quality win out of… Read more »
Bargnani defending the paint while everyone else watches. They got Cheese Steaks and clean up after our drafting messes, but they don’t have any damn pirates, which the Raptors can be thankful for. I was half wrong about Philly at the start of the year; I pegged them for a 50 win team ahead of… Read more »
Careful Chris, don’t want to injure that mouth. Cavaliers 93, Raptors 76 As unlikely as a playoff spot is, I’m still looking forward to this bunch at least try and make a push to prove that they’re more than a collection of overrated misfits and underachievers. The trade has breathed a little purpose into the… Read more »
In awe of the King. Cavs 101, Raptors 83 Was I the only one embarrassed when the Raptors started the game showing zone? Or when Lebron dunked twice against a zone defense? Or when Szczerbiak hit 2 of his first 3 treys (the guy doesn’t jump, and it’s not like he’s a threat to drive… Read more »
Toronto Raptors 83, Cleveland Cavaliers 90 Depending on your Raptor beliefs you can look at this one in a few different ways: 1) All in all a good effort by the Raps, too much Lebron in the end 2) Jose sat for way too long in the third/fourth quarter during which time Cleveland went +6,… Read more »
Miami Heat 54, Toronto Raptors 96 This game was not a barometer to measure how effective the Raptors are but merely a simple test to check whether the Raptors are still interested in playing basketball this season. Turns out they are. At some point in this game you had to feel sorry for the Miami… Read more »
Cleveland Cavaliers 93, Toronto Raptors 90 Typical Raptors. Do everything right early and then slowly but surely screw everything by reverting to your true form of a team that’s lost on offense and plays shoddy defense. There shouldn’t be any surprise that we blew a 20 point lead at home because we’re a team that… Read more »
Cleveland Cavaliers 82, Toronto Raptors 91 This one was comfortably in the bag before tipoff when it was announced that Lebron would be resting his finger for a day or two. Not having Bosh didn’t even matter because we simply have way too much depth for Cleveland to handle; even with Lebron this would’ve been… Read more »
I didn't know I had Tourette's syndrome until last night. My wife is very concerned. We have a top 5 center that is treated like the big oaf in the catholic league , that is a little touched and he smells a little. What gets me is our guards and wings don't feel it on the court , shit it ain't the coach , looks like the coach lets them jack up anything they want . Maybe it's a cultural thing , you know , the big oaf ain't cool , can't dance right , doesn't listen to the right beat. But why go there , people will just hate on me and call me the big oaf lover. The big oaf went toe to toe with the best in the league and in my opinion was the better player. To bad nobody on his team could see it .
