The Philadelphia 76ers and Bryan Colangelo have agreed to part ways, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The 76ers are expected to announce the move later today, framing it as a resignation, though obviously this is entirely related to the Twitter fiasco that’s made headlines the last week.

I post this here not out of schadenfreude but because some of the tweets (and Disqus comments, if you follow enough threads) took aim at Colangelo’s previous employer, the Toronto Raptors, as well as team president and Colangelo replacement Masai Ujiri. And also because people have been discussing this in the comments without a dedicated thread for a while now (I felt weird about posting intermittent updates to this story, less so now that it’s reached a conclusion).
So, yeah, make sure you create burner emails and buy burner phones for your burner Twitter accounts and use an IP blocker, lest you be found out.
